Tum-E Yummies Fun!

house wife hellraiser

I have something super exciting to share with you today. I am proud to say that my family and I are entering our very first 5K fun run!

Whaaaat? I know! I can hardly believe it myself. Look how far I’ve come, from busting my leg and spending 5 months on crutches to participating in an actual race. Go, me! My little trail-loving kiddos will be doing some running, but I will actually be WALKING. If you ever see me running somewhere, you’d probably better call the police or something. Mama’s not a runner! But I can get behind a fun family race that we can all do together! We are participating in the Color Vibe™, a color-blasted 5K race for all ages! The Color Vibe™ is sponsored by Tum-E Yummies, the fun little fruit-flavored drinks for kids.

Instructions

I want to make sure we have everything we need for race day, so I put together a Color Your World kit so I don’t forget anything!

Step 1

First…ALL THE SUNSCREEN. I live in glorious, beautiful Colorado where the elevation is higher and we get sunburned like crazy! And I get sunburned like crazy anyway. So I picked up a couple of multi-packs of my favorite sunscreen in the whole wide world: uh, the Target brand. Hey, it works REALLY well.

Step 2

Then I decided to outfit our whole dang family in matching white t-shirts, so we can get good and colorful. Last year, I spent the whole summer tie-dying everything I could get my hands on, so I already know that white cotton t-shirts hold onto color the best. I found some great ones at Target as well!

Step 3

I decided I should have a special shirt just for me, though. So here’s the one I picked out. I think it’s PERFECT.

Step 4

We will round out our kit with water bottles, sunglasses, white headbands, and socks! I’d love nothing more than to whip out my sewing machine and a bunch of white tulle and create adorable matching white tutus for me and all my girls, but alas – I have the most NON-girly girls out there, and none of them would be caught dead in a tutu! Dang it!
